Jaan Kross

Jaan Kross (1920-2007) was an Estonian writer, poet, and politician, born and deceased in Tallinn. Kross held various occupations throughout his life, including professor, novelist, poet, politician, writer, and screenwriter. He held Estonian citizenship and was educated at the University of Tartu.

Jaan Kross was the father of Eerik-Niiles Kross. He produced numerous notable works, including The Czar's Madman, Professor Martens' Departure, Treading Air, Wikmani poisid, Kolme katku vahel, Rakvere romaan, and Sailing Against the Wind.
