Ivan Shishkin (13 January 1832 – 20 March 1898) was a Russian painter known for his landscape paintings. Born in Yelabuga, he held citizenship with the Russian Empire. Shishkin passed away in Saint Petersburg.
He studied at both the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and the Imperial Academy of Arts. One of his notable works includes "Morning in a Pine Forest".
