The idea of interconnecting several computers appeared during their creation, but they did it only in 1969. We connected two PCs from different universities to each other - a Sigma 7 PC from California with an SDS 940 PC at Stanford.
So, back in 1969, the very first network in the world, ARPANET, was created. It was closed to the majority and was more used for military purposes. To ensure high-quality data transfer in 1983, it began to use TCP / IP protocols - which we still use.
