Igor Rudenya

Igor Mikhailovich Rudenya (born February 15, 1968, Moscow, USSR) is a Russian statesman. Governor of the Tver Region from September 23, 2016 (acting Governor of the Tver Region from March 2 to September 23, 2016). Secretary of the Tver regional branch of the United Russia party since July 10, 2020. Acting State Councilor of the Russian Federation, 1st class (2007).

Secretary of State - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation (2005-2007), Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Government of the Russian Federation (2008-2012). Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation (2012). Member of the General Council of the party "United Russia".

In 1988 he entered the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology at the Faculty of Physical and Quantum Electronics, and chose the Department of Solid State Electronics under the guidance of Yu. V. Gulyaev as the base department.

He began his scientific work under the guidance of V. I. Manko, A. F. Popkov, I. A. Ignatiev. After the 4th course, he was sent to the USA for 9 months. Upon his return, he defended his thesis ahead of schedule and graduated with honors from the institute (1993). He was invited to Professor M. Scully (English) Russian, in 1998 he defended his thesis. Since 2001 he has been working at Harvard University, three years later he became its professor.

In 2011, on the initiative of M. Lukin, the Russian Quantum Center was opened.

Career:

After demobilization, he worked in the internal affairs bodies.

From 1989 to 1991 he served in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Moscow.

From 1992 to 1996, he worked in senior positions at OJSC Federal Contract Corporation Roskhleboprodukt.

In September 1995, he became one of the founders and heads of the Fund for Assistance to Employees, Veterans and Families of the Deceased State Security Officers "Pokrov".

In 1996, he became the general director of CJSC Roszerno.

In 2002, he began working in the Office of the Government of the Russian Federation, heading the Department for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Office of the Government of the Russian Federation.

In 2004, he was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department for Sectoral Development of the Government of the Russian Federation.

From 2005 to 2007 he was Secretary of State - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia. Together with officials of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance of Russia, he took part in the implementation of the EGAIS system for accounting for the turnover of alcoholic products. Due to the imperfection of the legislative acts regulating the functioning of the system, as well as problems with the regulatory documentation that the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosstat, the Federal Security Service, the Federal Tax Service, the Ministry of Health and Social Development, the Federal Customs Service and the Ministry of Industry and Energy were to prepare, the introduction of the system was negatively received on the Russian market of alcoholic beverages.

On November 15, 2007, by order of the Ruden Government, he was appointed director of the newly created Department of Regional Development and Agro-Industrial Complex, transformed from the Department of Regional Monitoring of the Government.

In February 2009, when it became known about the upcoming resignation of Alexei Gordeev from the post of Minister of Agriculture, Igor Rudenya was called one of the possible candidates for the position, but in the end, Elena Skrynnik was appointed head of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In October 2009, he entered the list of candidates for the post of governor of the Volgograd region proposed to Dmitry Medvedev.

2012-2016 - General Director of ZAO Roszerno.

On March 2, 2016, after the resignation of the Governor of the Tver Region, Andrei Shevelev, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Ruden was appointed acting head of the region.

From January 27 to December 21, 2020 - Member of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation.

Member of the General Council of the United Russia party. Secretary of the Tver regional branch of the United Russia party. According to the results of the elections of heads of regions, it is in the lead with a result of more than 50 percent of the votes.

Family:

Rudenya is married (wife Olga), brings up five children: George, Mikhail, Daniel, Anna and Maria. Grandfather - Mikhail Mikhailovich Rudenya (1922-2002), a participant in the Second World War, at the front he was a lieutenant of the medical service, a paramedic.
