Henry Fonda (1905-1982) was an American actor born in Grand Island, Nebraska. Throughout his diverse career, Fonda wore many hats; he was a screenwriter, beekeeper, television producer, and naval officer. Fonda was a citizen of the United States and educated at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and Omaha Central High School.
Henry Fonda is the father of Jane Fonda and Peter Fonda. He was particularly known for his work in the Western genre.
Fonda received numerous awards over the course of his career, including a BAFTA Award, recognition from the American Film Institute, David di Donatello Awards, American Movie Awards, and Golden Apple Awards. He also won a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album.
Henry Fonda passed away on August 12, 1982, in Los Angeles, California.
