Childhood and Youth
Guy was born in September 1968 in Hatfield County. His parents divorced when their son was 5 years old. His father John Ritchie, who was an executive with a famous advertising company, married a model and a baroness. Ember's mother married a baronet, Sir Michael Leaton. The family settled in an ancient seventeenth-century estate.
At age 15, Guy, who suffered from dyslexia, was either kicked out or left the special school on his own. Guy went to the studio: the dream of acting in films appeared after seeing the picture "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Rich got a job as a delivery boy, and he did not think it necessary to study further, because the universities were preparing "standard and boring directors," and he wanted to shoot bright.
Films
Even in his youth, Guy liked to bring something new to everything he undertook, to break stereotypes. The actor and director does not have the most extensive filmography, but each picture is a resonance, and it does not matter whether it is positive or negative. The main thing is that he is. That's why Ritchie likes to shoot commercials, because "there's no better place to have a good time and spend $3 million for a minute".
In 2001, a video about BMW M5 was in the top 20 most expensive commercials in the history of advertising. Critics will say that Guy Ritchie's 9-minute film revolutionized the industry because it was the first time an ad was artistic and the entire campaign focused on Internet users.
The short film "Hard Case" provided Ritchie with a successful start to his creative career. Friend Matthew Vaughn and Trudy Styler, Sting's wife, liked the film. They agreed to commit funds to the next project, and they didn't misjudge it. "Cards, Money, Two Guns" elevated the young director, and at the same time the screenwriter, to the top of popularity.
The film has been called the European answer to Quentin Tarantino. The British actor is constantly compared to his American counterpart, and there is nothing surprising in that. The narrative style as well as the approaches to the plot are similar. Ritchie himself says that his paintings are not overly violent, as Tarantino, so the work is done more soft, but not less vivid.
With the financing of the next picture in Guy has not had any problems. Brad Pitt, impressed with "Cards, Money...", begged the director for the lead role in "The Big Cush. Lavishly seasoned with black humor, with catchy music comedy finally strengthened Richie's status as a star. The film, according to the creator, and now brings a sum with a few zeros, thanks to which he is calm for tomorrow.
Personal Life
Guy Ritchie and Madonna met through Sting. In December 2000, the singer became the wife of the director. Wedding, seasoned in Scottish traditions, played in an ancient castle Skibo in the presence of only 50 guests. Journalists at the celebration were not allowed. Witnesses of the couple were Gwyneth Paltrow and Matthew Vaughn.
In August 2001, the couple had a son Rocco, and seven
years later Guy and Madonna divorced. The reason for the separation was the wife's excessive preoccupation with her image. Ritchie later compared this marriage to a circus performance, which, for unknown reasons, interested everyone.

Nevertheless, the divorce brought the director from £ 50 to 60 million. This amount included the value of the estate of Ashcombe in West Anglia. The process went without complications, because the financial side of the issue suited everyone.
In the spring of 2009, the actor met Jackie Ainslie. The model gave Guy three children - son Rafael and daughters Rivka and Levi. A photo from Richie's wedding reception was published on Instagram. Rocco and dark-skinned David, who was adopted while still in union with Madonna, were present at the ceremony.
