Gerard David

Gerard David (1460-1523) was an artist from the Burgundian Netherlands, known for his notable works such as "Triptych of the Sedano family," "The Judgement of Cambyses," "Cervara Altarpiece," and "The Baptism of Christ (David)." Throughout his life, he held citizenship in various regions, including the Habsburg Netherlands, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Southern Netherlands, and the County of Flanders.

He was born in 1460 in Oudewater, a place currently situated in the Netherlands. Gerard David later died on August 13, 1523, in Bruges. His artistic legacy remains preserved through his noteworthy contributions to the art world as an influential artist from the Burgundian Netherlands period.
