Overview
Fred Niblo (born January 6, 1874, in York, Nebraska), was a founder of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and worked as a screenwriter, film producer, actor, and film director. Niblo passed away on November 11, 1948, in New Orleans.
Niblo directed several films throughout his career, including The Mark of Zorro, The Temptress, Dream of Love, and Blood and Sand, among many others. As a result of his extensive work in the film industry, Niblo played a significant role in shaping the early days of Hollywood and the world of entertainment.
