Frans Hals

Frans Hals was a 17th-century painter known for his portrait, genre, and general paintings . Born in Antwerp in 1582 , Hals held citizenship in Belgium and the Kingdom of the Netherlands . He passed away in Haarlem on August 26, 1666 .

Frans Hals had five children: Harmen Hals, Frans Hals Junior, Reynier Hals, Nicolaes Hals, and Jan Hals .
