Five Ventures

Five Ventures was a Charlotte, North Carolina based investment program of the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Held annually until 2012 sponsored by UNC Charlotte's Office of Technology Transfer and the Belk College of Business, it was a competition and conference for faculty, staff and students in the region as well as early-stage start-up companies in the region. The winner of the competition would receive $5000, and winning students would win $2000.

Five Ventures invested in Kublax, an online personal financial management platform, in January 2008 during their seed round and again in May 2009 during their angel round.
