Felix Klein (1849-1925) was a mathematician and politician born in Düsseldorf. He held citizenship in the German Confederation, German Empire, and the Weimar Republic. Klein was educated at the University of Bonn and the Humboldt University of Berlin. He worked extensively with various doctoral students, including notable mathematicians such as Walther von Dyck, Adolf Hurwitz, and Mary Frances Winston Newson. Klein's doctoral advisor was Julius Plücker.

Klein is perhaps best known for his work on the Klein bottle, Erlangen program, Beltrami–Klein model, and Klein's encyclopedia. He passed away in Göttingen in 1925.
