Ernst May

Ernst May (born July 27, 1886, in Frankfurt; died September 11, 1970, in Hamburg) was a German architect and urban planner. He held citizenship in Germany and was educated at the Technical University of Munich. May was also the founder of the Congrès Internationaux d'Architecture Moderne, a professional organization focused on modern architecture. He was widely recognized as a prominent person involved in the advancement of modern architecture and urban planning.
