Edgar Wallace was a British writer born on April 1, 1875, in Greenwich. He held multiple occupations throughout his career, including journalist, playwright, screenwriter, poet, novelist, film director, and writer. Wallace primarily worked in the thriller genre and held citizenship in the United Kingdom.

He had two children, Penelope Wallace and Bryan Edgar Wallace. Edgar Wallace passed away on February 10, 1932, in Beverly Hills, California.
