Eason Chan is a Chinese actor, singer, songwriter, and producer born on July 27, 1974 in Hong Kong . He holds a Chinese nationality and has obtained education from Kingston University and Dauntsey's School . Eason is associated with various music genres; Cantopop, Rhythm and blues, Mandopop, and Hokkien pop . He is also known by the aliases 陈奕迅 and God of E (E神, 醫神) .
Eason started his career by participating in the 14th New Talent Singing Contest in 1995 and released his first album in 1996 . He made his acting debut in the film "Mong Kok Everybody Sister" in 1997 . Eason gained attention in the music industry in 1998 with the song "No One Like You" particularly through the release of the song "King of Karaoke" in 2000 .
He has received multiple awards, including Golden Melody Awards . In 2015, Eason won the Best Mandarin Male Singer Award at the 26th Golden Melody Awards for the album "Mi Shan", which was then followed by another win in 2018 for the album "C'mon in~" .
His most recent works include the album L.O.V.E., released in 2018, and the film "Undercover Superstar" released in the same year . In 2020, Eason held a charity concert called "Live is so much better with Music Eason Chan Charity Concert" in Hong Kong .
