EIT Food is a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) that was founded in 2016 by the EIT Governing Board. The purpose of EIT Food is to connect entrepreneurs, business, universities, research centres, and institutes operating within the food industry across Europe to foster increased innovation and productivity within the food sector. EIT Food is headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, and runs 5 co-location centres (CLCs) within Europe to help with innovation, talent development, and consumer involvement.
