David Silverman (animator)

David Silverman (born 15 March 1957) is an animator, film director, film producer, actor, and cartoonist from the United States. Silverman hails from New York City and was educated at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also known by the pseudonym "Pound Foolish".

Silverman has directed multiple episodes of the popular animated television series "The Simpsons". Some of these episodes include: "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", "Bart Gets an "F"", "Blood Feud", and "Mother Simpson". In addition, he has directed several "Treehouse of Horror" episodes, including "Treehouse of Horror XVI", "Treehouse of Horror XV", and "Treehouse of Horror XVII".
