Copper

Copper (chemical symbol - Cu, from Lat. Cuprum) is a chemical element of the 11th group (according to the outdated classification - the first group of the secondary subgroup, IB) of the fourth period of the periodic system of chemical elements of D. I. Mendeleev, with atomic number 29.

In the form of a simple substance, copper is a plastic transition metal of golden-pink color (pink in the absence of an oxide film).

It has been widely used by humans for a long time.
