Claire McTaggart

Claire McTaggart is the founder and CEO of New York-based SquarePeg Hires, a machine learning platform for smart talent sourcing, assessment, and hiring analytics. Formerly, McTaggart was a freelance consultant for startups, the founder of Founder Institute, and a manager at Deloitte.

SquarePeg, McTaggart's HR tech startup, uses data science and machine learning to match individuals to companies based on fitness. The company's algorithm connects candidates and companies based on match scores determined from assessments.

During her time at Deloitte, McTaggart developed strategies for private and public sector clients, with a focus on investment promotion, economic development, and growth strategies. Clients included those in economic development, focusing on investment promotion and attraction, small and medium enterprise support, and designing development action programs.

McTaggart earned her master of science degree in foreign service, international commerce, and business from Georgetown University in 2012 and previously earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Michigan in 2006.

McTaggart currently resides in New York and spent more than four years living in the Middle East.
