Chromium

Chromium (chemical symbol - Cr, from Lat. Chromium) is a chemical element of the 6th group (according to the outdated classification - the sixth group of the secondary subgroup, VIB), the fourth period of the periodic system of chemical elements of D. I. Mendeleev, with atomic number 24.

A simple substance chromium (at room temperature) is a solid transition metal of bluish-white color. Chrome is sometimes referred to as ferrous metals.
