Christian V of Denmark was born in Flensburg on April 15, 1646 , and was the king of Denmark and Norway . He was the son of Frederick III of Denmark and Sophie Amalie of Brunswick-Lüneburg .
During his reign, Christian V founded the Order of the Dannebrog . He had several children, including Frederick IV of Denmark , Ulrik Christian Gyldenløve, Count of Samsø , Christian Gyldenløve , Princess Sophia Hedwig of Denmark , Prince Charles of Denmark , Prince William of Denmark , and Prince Christian of Denmark (1675–1695) .
Christian V passed away on August 25, 1699, in Copenhagen .
