Carsten Jancker, born on August 28, 1974, is a former German footballer and current manager. He was born in Grevesmühlen, which was a part of East Germany. Jancker is known for being a striker during his time as a football player. He has received numerous awards throughout his career, including being part of the Rapid Vienna team that won the Austrian Champion title in 1995/96 and reaching the Winners' Cup final that same season.
Jancker later played for Bayern Munich and won the UEFA Champions League in 2000/01, the Intercontinental Cup in 2001, and the German Champion title in 1996/97, 1998/99, 1999/00, and 2000/01, as well as the German Cup in both 1998 and 2000. As a member of the Germany national football team, he was the vice-champion of the 2002 World Cup. He holds German nationality.
Currently, Carsten Jancker is employed as a manager at DSV Leoben, also known as Leoben.
