Bram Stoker, born Abraham Stoker, was an Irish author known for his work in the Gothic fiction genre. He was born on November 8, 1847, in Clontarf, Dublin, and died on April 20, 1912, in St George's Square. Stoker held citizenship in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
Stoker was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. He held various occupations throughout his life, including clerk, writer, journalist, novelist, and screenwriter.
Among his notable works are Dracula, The Snake's Pass, Under the Sunset, The Watter's Mou', The Mystery of the Sea, The Man (Stoker novel), Miss Betty, and The Shoulder of Shasta. He also created the character Abraham Van Helsing.
