Bert Roberts joined the Sorenson Capital in 2011 and focuses on deal origination, fundraising and investor relations. Bert has decades of transactional experience and expertise in business development and investor relations. His national network provides unique deal and fundraising access to the firm. Bert is active in the Salt Lake City community, having served as trustee of the Utah Symphony/Utah Opera and board member of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area, Inc.
Prior to joining Sorenson Capital, Bert was vice president of institutional client services at Wasatch Advisors. Before Wasatch, Bert held senior-level investment banking positions at UBS, SoundView Technology Group, and Montgomery Securities (now Bank of America Merrill Lynch). He began his career as a consultant at Kenneth Leventhal & Company (now EY).
Bert earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Southern California. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. Senior-level PE professional with extensive experience in Business Development, Fundraising and LP Relations.
