Benjamin Fondane

Benjamin Fondane, born on November 14, 1898, in Iași, Romania, was a multi-talented individual with occupations spanning across poet, librarian, film director, philosopher, playwright, screenwriter, and writer. He also used the pseudonym Benjamin Fundoianu.

Fondane received his education at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. He held citizenships in both Romania and France. Tragically, he died on October 2, 1944, at Auschwitz concentration camp. Benjamin Fondane is an instance of a person.
