BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, Bangtan Sonyeondan, Bulletproof Boy Scouts, and Beyond the Scene, is a South Korean musical band. The group was founded in 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment. The music genres BTS covers include pop music, K-pop, hip-hop, R&B, and EDM.
BTS comprises seven key members: Kim Seok-jin, J-Hope, Jimin (singer), Jungkook, Suga (rapper), RM (rapper), and V (singer). Bang Si-Hyuk, the founder of Big Hit Entertainment, is also a key figure associated with the group.
BTS competes with various other bands and artists in the music industry, such as Miss A, Kara, Big Bang (Band), Got7, 2PM, Red Velvet, Black Pink, Twice, EXO, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, and TVXQ.
