Axel Springer

Axel Springer (born May 2, 1912, in Altona, Hamburg; died September 22, 1985, in Berlin) was a German journalist and investor. He held citizenship in Germany. Throughout his life, Springer notably founded Axel Springer SE, a German digital publishing house. He was also the owner of the daily newspaper Reggel and the painting Summer Evening on Skagen's Southern Beach.

Axel Springer had a child, Sven Simon.
