Arne Tiselius

Arne Tiselius was a Swedish chemist and biochemist born on August 10, 1902, in Stockholm . Tiselius was a citizen of Sweden and completed his education at Uppsala University . Theodor Svedberg served as his doctoral advisor, and Robert Williams was his doctoral student .

Tiselius passed away on October 29, 1971, in Uppsala . He was known for his work on electrophoresis , a technique for separating molecules in a mixture by applying an electric field. In 1940, Tiselius received the Björkénska priset award , and he went on to receive the 1948 Nobel Prize in Chemistry .
