Armand Guillaumin - French impressionist painter and lithographer.

Jean-Baptiste Armand Guillaumin was born in Paris and worked in his uncle's underwear store, attending evening drawing lessons. He also worked for the French government railway, and in 1861 entered the Swiss Academy. There he met Paul Cezanne and Camille Pissarro, with whom he maintained a lifelong friendship. Although he had never reached the level of these two, his influence on their work was significant. Cezanne tried to make his first etching based on Guillaume's paintings depicting barges on the Seine River.
