Andrew Gray received his doctorate in Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Southern California. His research has focused on the molecular biology and immunology of tumor microenvironments, with a particular focus on prostate cancer and melanoma. Andrew co-developed a therapeutic vaccine for metastatic prostate cancerduring his doctoral studies. He also identified the mechanisms by which advanced prostate cancers can evade the anti-tumor immune response, and investigated methods to circumvent these mechanisms. This work led to eight peer-reviewed publications, including three as first author. More recently, Andrew has focused on the use of nanoparticle drug delivery to treat cancer. He led the collaborative project between Vali , USC and Harvard that produced VNM-101.
