Amazon Mechanical Turk

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a crowdsourcing marketplace, officially launched on November 2, 2005, that helps connect individuals and businesses to a distributed workforce capable of performing outsourced virtual tasks. Tasks can include simple data validation, research, survey participation, project management, content moderation, content creation, editing, and other virtual tasks. MTurk breaks down large projects into manageable tasks called "microtasks" and crowdsources the tasks to a distributed virtual workforce for completion.
