Adolf Kneser

Adolf Kneser (March 19, 1862 – January 24, 1930) was a German mathematician . He was born in Germany and held German citizenship . He pursued his education at Humboldt University of Berlin . His occupation was that of a mathematician .

Kneser's doctoral advisor was Leopold Kronecker . Throughout his career, he advised several doctoral students, including Stephan Cohn-Vossen, Hermann Kober, Rudolf Otto Neumann, and Eugen Freund . Adolf Kneser had a child named Hellmuth Kneser .

His most notable work includes the Kneser's theorem (differential equations) . Kneser sadly passed away in Wrocław .
