TurbineOne, a defense technology company specializing in no-code AI software for frontline use, announced it has raised $36 million in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from previous investors including The General Partnership (TGP), XYZ Ventures, Pallas Ventures, and a number of individual national security leaders.
Founded in 2020, TurbineOne focuses on equipping front-line military personnel with artificial intelligence tools that operate at the “tactical edge”—environments without access to cloud infrastructure. Its flagship product, the Frontline Perception System (FPS), enables users to build and deploy machine learning models for sensor data interpretation without requiring technical expertise or internet connectivity. The company describes its software as tailored for field-deployable use and compatible with diverse sensor systems such as drones and surveillance cameras.
According to the press release, the newly raised capital will be used to expand TurbineOne’s AI engineering teams and to accelerate delivery timelines for its Department of Defense (DoD) customers. TurbineOne’s software is already in use across several military branches, including the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command.
