Overview
Swami Vivekananda was a person known for his diverse roles as a monk, philosopher, writer, poet, teacher, and orator. He was born on January 12, 1863, in Kolkata, and held citizenship of British Raj. Swami Vivekananda died on July 4, 1902, in Belur, West Bengal.
He received education at two esteemed institutions: Presidency University, Kolkata and Scottish Church College. Swami Vivekananda also founded the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College. One of his notable works is 'Bartaman Bharat'.
