Funding Round attributes
Slip Robotics, based in Norcross, Georgia, has announced the successful completion of a $28 million Series B funding round, led by DCVC, a venture capital firm specializing in deep technology investments. This funding round brings Slip Robotics' total capital raised to $45 million, with participation from existing investors including Eve Atlas, Tech Square Ventures, Hyde Park Venture Partners, Overline, and Pathbreaker Ventures.
The company focuses on automating truck loading and unloading processes through its proprietary technology, SlipBots. These robots are designed to load and unload any truck in just five minutes, significantly reducing the typical 30 to 60-minute loading times associated with traditional methods. This innovation addresses inefficiencies in the supply chain, where truck drivers often spend approximately 23% of their workday idling at loading docks, and loading docks account for 25% of all industrial accidents.
