Richard Abegg (born September 1, 1869, in Gdańsk) was a German chemist and physicist. He was a citizen of Germany and was educated at the University of Kiel. Abegg passed away on April 3, 1910, in Koszalin.
Among his pupils, Abegg had as doctoral student Friedrich Bergius, who later went on to have a distinguished career in chemistry as well.
