Rembrandt

Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, born on July 15, 1606, in Leiden, was a Dutch artist and painter during the Dutch Republic period. He was educated at Leiden University and held Dutch nationality. Rembrandt passed away on October 4, 1669.

Throughout his career, Rembrandt explored various genres including history painting, portrait, vanitas, still life, landscape painting, portrait painting, self-portrait, genre painting, tronie, and religious painting.

Some of his notable works are The Night Watch, Belshazzar's Feast (Rembrandt), The Jewish Bride, and Syndics of the Drapers' Guild. Rembrandt had a child named Titus van Rijn.
