Oswald Spengler

Oswald Spengler (born May 29, 1880 in Blankenburg (Harz), died May 8, 1936 in Munich) was a German writer, historian, philosopher, and mathematician. He held citizenship in Germany and is best known for his notable work "The Decline of the West".

Spengler was educated at multiple institutions, including the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, and Humboldt University of Berlin. His doctoral advisor was Alois Riehl. Throughout his career, Spengler made significant contributions in the fields of history, philosophy, and mathematics, and his work remains influential in these areas today.
