Nadine Gordimer

Nadine Gordimer was a South African writer, poet, novelist, and playwright born on November 20, 1923, in Springs, Gauteng. She was educated at the University of the Witwatersrand. Gordimer held citizenship of South Africa and resided in the country.

Throughout her career, Gordimer worked across various genres, including short stories, novellas, and novels. Some of her notable works are "The Pickup," "The Conservationist," "Burger's Daughter," "July's People," and "A Sport of Nature".

Gordimer received the 1991 Nobel Prize in Literature for her numerous contributions to the literary world. She passed away on July 13, 2014, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
