Libby Trickett (born Lisbeth Constance Lenton on January 28, 1985) is a retired Australian swimmer who is known for winning multiple awards and accolades during her career. She was born in Townsville, Australia, and holds Australian citizenship. Trickett was educated at Somerville House and Griffith University.
Libby Trickett is the daughter of Poppy Frances Trickett and Edwina Daisy "Eddie" Trickett. She has three siblings: Stuart, Justin, and Victoria. Trickett is married to Luke Trickett.
During her career, Trickett received a number of prestigious awards, including the Laureus World Sports Sportswoman of the Year in 2008 and Australian Swimmer of the Year in 2005. She won multiple medals at the Olympic Games: gold in the 4x100m relay at Athens 2004, bronze in the 50m freestyle at Athens 2004, and gold in the 100m butterfly at Beijing 2008. Trickett also won several medals at the World Championships, including bronze in the 50m freestyle and 4x100m relay in Barcelona 2003, and gold in the 50m freestyle in Montreal 2005.
