Jane Campion

Jane Campion is a New Zealand screenwriter, film director, actor, and film producer . She was born as Elizabeth Jane Campion on April 30, 1954, in Wellington, New Zealand, to Richard Campion, a theatre director . Jane Campion is the mother of actress Alice Englert .

Campion received her education from Victoria University of Wellington, University of Sydney, Chelsea College of Arts, and the Australian Film, Television and Radio School . She holds a New Zealand nationality and has received the Academy Award for Best Director .

In 2021, she directed the film "The Power of the Dog" .
