Gems (VIA)

VIA "Gems" is a Soviet and Russian vocal and instrumental ensemble (VIA), a musical group . The creator and permanent leader is People's Artist of Russia Yuri Malikov . He is best known for performing such songs as “I'll take you to the tundra ”, “ My address is the Soviet Union ”, “All my life is ahead”, “ Everything that I have in life ”.

Composition

Yuri Malikov - artistic director and member of the band (bass guitar, backing vocals) from 1971 to the present. People's Artist of Russia (2007) .

Elena Presnyakova is the soloist-vocalist of the group from the autumn of 1975 to the present. Before "Gems" she had extensive experience on the stage, performing in various ensembles. In 1975, together with her husband Vladimir Presnyakov, she was invited by Yuri Malikov to Gems, where she still works. In 2002, she was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of Russia"

Alexander Nefyodov is a professional singer, has been working in the ensemble "Gems" since 1980. He graduated from the Music College. Ippolitova-Ivanov . Came to "Gems" from VIA "Sing guitars" in 1980 as a vocalist and guitarist. During the suspension of the concert activity of "Gems" he pursued a solo career. In 1995 he returned to "Gems".

Oleg Sleptsov began his creative career at the age of three with participation as a model in the shows of Soviet and French fashion designers during the Youth and Student Festival in 1957. In 1960, he was filmed at the Mosfilm studio in the film Three Hours on the Road. He graduated from the music school at the Moscow Conservatory. Tchaikovsky in the piano class, the Gnessin Musical College , the Academy of Arts and graduate school in the "pop vocal" class. In 1991, he created the TV Pop Show group, and at the same time worked in the team of Dmitry Malikov . Since 1981 he has been working as a soloist of the VIA "Gems".

Georgy Vlasenko is a graduate of the Kharkov Conservatory in the class of choral conducting . He worked in popular pop groups of the USSR. Actively takes part in all arrangements of the group, plays keyboards, sings songs, is a tutor. He began working on the professional stage in 1975 at the Belarusian Philharmonic in the ensemble of singer Viktor Vuyachich . Since 1977 he has been working in Moscow concert programs of variety shows. He was engaged in recording music for films at the Mosfilm studio. From 1981 he worked in the group of Stas Namin "Flowers" From 1987 to 1995 he worked in the ensembles of Laima Vaikule and Mikhail Muromov. In "Gems" he worked from 1985 to 1987. He returned to the team in 1995.
