Franz Lachner

Franz Lachner (born April 2, 1803) was a German composer, whose career spanned much of the 19th century. He was born in Rain, Swabia, and later settled in Munich, where he died on January 20, 1890. As a composer, Lachner played a significant role in the development of German classical music, and his life and contributions showcase the rich culture and history of his native country and the impact of his work.
