Francisco Gento

Francisco Gento was born on October 21, 1933, in Guarnizo, and held Spanish citizenship. He was primarily known for his occupation as a football player, but also worked as a manager for association football. Gento was often referred to by his nickname, La Galerna del Cantábrico.

Throughout his career, Gento received multiple awards. He won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Intercontinental Cup, the European Cup, the Small Club World Cup, and the Latin Cup.

Francisco Gento passed away on January 18, 2022, in Madrid.
