Charlotte de Witte is a Belgian DJ and producer specializing in electronic music. In 2019, the DJ was awarded Best Techno at the DJ Awards. Charlotte is best known for her dark and stripped-back brand of techno and has released tracks like "Heart of Mine" and "This."
The DJ is represented by Lee Anderson and Nick Cave at Wasserman Music. She launched her own KNTXT label, on which she has released EPs and singles, including 2022's Universal Consciousness and 2023's "High Street." Born in Ghent, Charlotte de Witte started to DJ in 2010, when she was seventeen. The DJ initially adopted the pseudonym "Raving George." She made the decision so people would concentrate on her DJ skills rather than her gender.
Initially, Charlotte de Witte played electro-house and EDM and got a big break after winning a Studio Brussel DJ contest and spinning at the Tomorrowland festival in 2011. She came back to the festival several times and then became a resident DJ at Studio Brussel in addition to performing at other festivals, including I Love Techno and Pukkelpop. In 2013, she began producing tracks as Raving George, releasing EPs on Bad Life and Crux Records before getting a hit with the 2015 single "You're Mine," featuring Oscar and the Wolf (Belgian vocalist Max Colombie).
