Biography

Boris Klyuev is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, member of the Board of the Guild of Film Actors of Russia, People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Portraying smart and elegant dandies on the screen and on the theater stage, he remained a role model among colleagues in life. The artist loved beauty and looked for it in everything, whether it was theatrical creativity or the development of a personal plot.

Childhood and family

Boris's hometown is Moscow. His father was an actor, but died while on tour when the boy was four years old. Mom raised her son by herself, never getting married. Little Borya was categorically against a possible mother's marriage. He studied poorly at school, and his behavior was unsatisfactory. It is not known how Klyuev's future life would have developed if it had not been for the school play in which he got the role of the devil. It was played in such a way that the student became a real star. This was the beginning of his path to the acting profession. Mom also tried to develop her son. She often went to theaters and concerts with him. The financial situation of the family was difficult, because of this, the boy started working early. Sometimes he unloaded wagons, and when he turned sixteen, he went to work at a construction site.

Theatre

His career in the Maly Theater began with episodes. For the first time theatergoers saw Klyuev in the performances "Vanity Fair", "The Power of Darkness" and "A Glass of Water". The first significant role went to the young artist in the production of "So it will be", where he played a hero named Sergei Sinitsyn.Since then, Boris Vladimirovich Klyuev has appeared in many wonderful performances. For 40 years, given to one theater, the actor has played dozens of diverse roles. "Thunderstorm", "Tsar John the Terrible", "King Lear", "Wolves and Sheep— - in these productions, theatergoers watched the play of a talented artist.

And Boris Klyuev was also a professor who headed the acting department at Sliver. He brought up a galaxy of actors such as Egor Beroev, Vladimir Zherebtsov, Elena Velikanova, Alla Yuganova and Kristina Asmus.

Personal life and hobbies

Boris Klyuev was married three times. However, the actor hid the names of the first two spouses: they did not want publicity. In 1969, Klyuev and his first wife had a son, Alexey.

In the early 1970s, visiting friends, Klyuev met his third wife, an athlete, a middle—distance runner Victoria. For several years, the actor courted her. They got married in 1975 and lived together for 45 years. Klyuev recalled: "I am so glad that my wife is not an actress. She's from a completely different world."

Boris Klyuev has been fond of football for many years. The actor was the captain of the Maly Theater team. He recalled: "I always really liked it, and when we came on tour, we always met with journalists or actors from local theaters on the football field. I got tremendous satisfaction from this game." At the initiative of the actor, a Theatrical Football League was created. It was played by teams of different teams.

Death

In May 2018, fans of the artist learned the bitter news - Boris Klyuev was diagnosed with lung cancer. Despite the cancer, the actor continued to regularly appear on the stage of the theater. "It's difficult for him, but he tries to hold on. Periodically he goes to the hospital," Klyuev's colleagues said. According to Boris, the diagnosis came as a surprise, because he led a healthy lifestyle.

For more than two years, the actor struggled with the disease, but due to age he could not win. All this time he continued to play in the theater and act in films. Two weeks before his death, he appeared on stage in the production of The Big Three, after which he was hospitalized. On September 1, 2020, Boris Klyuev died. He was 76 years old. Farewell to Boris Vladimirovich will take place in his native Maly Theater.
