With this latest investment round, the startup has raised more than $427,000, including previous funding from Antler.
The founders state that the resources from the round will be used mainly to invest in the team, with the hiring of more professionals, especially in the Technology area, in addition to further developing the platform. They also plan to launch tools to help creators close deals faster and grow their network of creators and companies, thus increasing their revenues and facilitating collaboration with brands.
William Vilar, CEO of Basemaker, explains, “We want to simplify the economics for creators and add value so that the influencer has another source of revenue, in addition to enabling companies to achieve more results with content marketing. We are investing in platform enhancements, with the creation of artificial intelligence assistants, for example, that help creators and marketers create content.”
Investors saw in Basemaker a resilient team with deep industry knowledge, which gave them confidence in its ability to face the “cookie apocalypse” and continue to offer solutions based on first-party data. The startup stands out for its ability to help brands hyper-segment their ad campaigns, maximizing ad performance and significantly improving conversion rates.
Basemaker differentiates itself by focusing on primary data, which allows it to offer companies an effective alternative to traditional third-party cookies, helping brands reach specific audiences through content creators. Its platform has been used by more than 300 clients, including large companies such as Petlove, Cobasi, and YouTube, achieving a 40% increase in the effectiveness of their campaigns.
Thanks to this latest round of funding, the startup is poised to offer an even greater range of possibilities for brands. The startup is in negotiations with large influencer marketing agencies and wants to become the “starting point for those who want to hire an influencer in a democratized way”. This will allow the startup to develop new tools that optimize the collaboration between brands and influencers, improving efficiency in the planning and execution of advertising campaigns in a constantly evolving market.
