The buttons, do not disturb mode switch, speaker grille, SIM card slot are in their usual places, as is the square camera bump. The phone is IP68 waterproof, which means it can be submerged in water up to six meters deep for up to 30 minutes.
Apple has improved the strength of the glass on the front and back of the iPhone 12. The front features Corning’s “Ceramic Shield” glass. The glass on the front is four times more drop resistant than before.
Another improvement is MagSafe. Built-in magnets on the back of iPhone 12 allow you to attach all sorts of accessories to the back of your phone. The main one is the 15W MagSafe wireless charger, a round puck that snaps onto the phone.
There's also a magnetic credit card holder that can be attached directly to the back of the phone or through a case.
