An Indonesian citizen, born in 1983, Andre has served as the President Director / Chief Executive Officer of GoTo since 2021. He is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for GoTo. Andre has played a pivotal role in GoTo’s rapid growth and long-term business sustainability.
He joined the Company in 2015 as Gojek’s President, where he led over US$5 billion of fundraising which attracted key investors such as Telkomsel, Google, Tencent, Astra, KKR, Facebook, Visa, and Warburg Pincus. In addition, he directed the expansion of GoTo’s business by securing key strategic partnerships and establishing the Company’s corporate functions. During his tenure as Co-Chief Executive Officer of Gojek from 2019 to 2021, Andre successfully expanded its payments and financial services businesses.
He currently serves as President Director / Chief Executive Officer of PT DKAB, a holding company which encompasses the ecosystem’s payments, financial services and business solutions units. By growing the payments and financial services business, Andre is leading GoTo’s vision to accelerate financial inclusion across Southeast Asia and improve lives for more people.
Andre also holds the position of Head of the Development of the Digital Economy Ecosystem Agency at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, between 2021 to 2026. Prior to joining Gojek, Andre was the Executive Director for PT Northstar Group, a leading Southeast Asia private equity fund, from 2008 to 2016.
He was previously the Head of Corporate Finance at one of Indonesia’s largest coal mining contractors, PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk, from 2009 to 2011. Andre received his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia in 2005. In 2021, Andre was also named in the Bloomberg 50 list in recognition of his leadership of GoTo. He has no family relationship with any members of the Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors or Shareholders. He is one of the Series B Shareholders.
