Alain Resnais

Alain Resnais was a French film director and screenwriter born on June 3, 1922, in Vannes. He was educated at the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques. Resnais has held several occupations in his career, such as a cinematographer, screenwriter, film producer, actor, and film director.

Resnais directed numerous films, including "Hiroshima mon amour", "Je t'aime, je t'aime", "My American Uncle", "Life Is a Bed of Roses", "Love Unto Death", "I Want to Go Home", "Mélo", and "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet". Other notable works include "Private Fears in Public Places", "Wild Grass", "Life of Riley", and "Far from Vietnam".

Alain Resnais received several prestigious awards throughout his career, including honors from the César Award, Venice Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival, and Cannes Film Festival. He was married to Sabine Azéma and was also known by the alias "mystical atheist".

Resnais passed away on March 1, 2014, in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
