Biography

Illidan, Crazy and KSi departed from Virtus.pro after a disappointing TI3.[1] A few weeks after they were announced to be participating together in the Star Ladder Star Series Season 7 with a newly created team called Poseidon.[2] Despite being kicked from Virtus.pro before, he got picked up by them a second time [3] and later, after another disappointing TI4, kicked a second time [4], he ended up in that same organization for the third time when his next team NVMI was picked up as VP's second squad - Virtus.pro Polar.

Biography

Bruno has been playing Dota since version 6.20 which came out late 2005.[1] His interest for statistics in the competitive Dota scene was sparkled at The International 2011, which he attended the whole four days.[1] He is an engineer and ran a software consultancy business but decided to sell it and take some time off.[2] He met "shostakovich" with whom he started talking about creating what would later become Dota Academy, a project devoted "to give to the entire competitive scene a robust statistical system".[1]

His career as a caster began ahead of The International 2012, when some people from "DotaCommentaries" invited him to join them to the event. Bruno got a chance to add his information and statistics to the broadcasts from the event. After a chat with 2GD, he became part of the analyst panel. 2GD also offered him a job at "The GD Studio", but Bruno had some real life commitments to deal with first. He later on accepted and moved to Stockholm in January 2013.[3]

In May 2015, he revealed that he had accepted a full-time position as a software engineer at Valve.[4]

Biography

H4nn1 is a familiar name to everyone that is involved in the Dota and HoN scene. Once being part of Maelks old MYM squad he is one of the old successful DotA 1 veterans still active in the scene. Kai is known for playing the solo mid role for the European team Fnatic.EU. In April 2013 Kai and his team were invited to compete at Valve's The International 2013 in Seattle. In the months leading up to the event Fnatic participated in a bootcamp in Belgrade, Serbia and ultimately achieved a top 8 finish in the tournament.

DotA

Kai started playing DotA 1 roughly around the version 5.84b, which was released in late 2004. His first competitive games took place in the newly founded DotA-League. He ended up competing in the First Division, where got to play against his future clanmates Maelk and MaNia.

Kai managed to win the first MYM Prime Defending tournament with Maelk, MaNia, Loda and Levent. The team ended up being signed as the first sponsored team by MeetYourMakers, unfortunately the organization soon went bankrupt. The last team that Kai played for in DotA 1 was Ks.int with Puppey and KuroKy. However it didn't go as well as the team hoped for leading to H4nn1 leaving the team feeling unsatisfied with the environment.

Grant has been in the Dota scene for fifteen years. He was a professional DotA player that moved to Heroes of Newerth in 2011. Since his retirement from professional gaming, he has been conducting community casting on his stream, focusing on the North American Dota 2 scene.[1] Since being invited as an analyst in The Summit 5 in 2016, he has evolved to a caster in the professional circuit and in 2018 he was invited to EPICENTER XL, his first major. In early August, he received his maiden invite to The International 2018.[2]

He joined Evil Geniuses as a streamer on October 1st, 2017.[3]

Allegations of Sexual Harassment

On June 21, 2020 Twitter user cofactorstrudel posted allegations of sexual harassment by a caster at TI7[4], which she later clarified was GranDGrant.[5] The following day, GranDGrant issued a public apology and announced that he would be stepping back from working in Dota 2 and esports as a whole.[6] He was released by Evil Geniuses due to these allegations.[7] Other allegations were made that he harassed LlamaDownUnder and sexually assaulted an anonymous victim (published by @Wickedcosplay on Twitter).[8][9]
